Stripes upon stripes upon stripes..

One of my favorite clothing pieces in my wardrobe is a striped romper. I can pair it with so many different accessories. Stripes can go with everything (ok, almost everything), and I love to pair a striped shirt with a nice denim jacket. I even like to experiment and pair it with different patterns. Stripes are also great for a minimalistic (is that even a word?!) and simple outfits.

Are Birkenstocks really back in?!

For some reason, every time someone mentions Birkenstocks, my mind travels back to 2008 when that’s all my mom and aunts would wear for shoes. They always talked about type of Birkenstocks were on sale and which are the most comfortable walking shoes. Now at the time, I thought they were probably one of the ugliest pair of shoes to ever exist. Now, with celebrities like Mary-Kate and Ashley, one of fashion’s leading stars, have been spotted walking around in them, I have began to take a liking for them. Now of course you have to pair them with a nice outfit and dress them up a bit, but I really believe that this is one of the many new trends of 2014 in the fashion world.

Coachella Opening Weekend Fashion

So as you may know, the iconic music festival that has been all the rage, Coachella, has just passed.  I don’t know about you but the style I saw was enough to want me to change my entire wardrobe.

The indie and alternative music performed at Coachella had many celebrities and people changing up their style.  From the oh-so-popular flower crown to studded fanny packs, so many fashion and style trends were made during Coachella’s opening weekend.

Kylie Jenner was sure to awe crowds with her matching lace sleeveless top and shorts. The real head turner here though is the studded fanny pack. (Are those even legal?!) Kylie has definitely brought the fanny pack back.

Vanessa, who is known for her Coachella/Indie style, has put together another great outfit! I love her patterned and boho romper. She added a nice tan semi-floppy hat which made the outfit look complete!

Selena was wearing a fave of mine, her floral patterned see through dress, which she wore over a crop top and white shorts. The dress definitely screams Coachella. Another great outfit from Selena!

Hi! I’m Kate, a fourteen year old aspiring fashion designer. I have always had an interest in fashion and I hope to share that interest with you! I feel that fashion is a way to express yourself, (I know, very cliché) in a visual way. I wanted to make this blog because what better way to get started in, what I hope, to be my fashion career!
